A simple family in the countryside have their lives changed when the Kingsguard comes with a dire message, one that brings them to the city of Mortel to find answers. But not all is as it seems in the city. The people live happily, the benevolent King Denile and his Kingsguard protect the living, and devout monks tend to the dead. But underneath that is a darkness plaguing everything around them. Ominous secrets lurk within the city. Hidden deep within the Halls of the Dead.
