I want to make a super fast apology. I haven't updated The Shape of Staying since January. I hated how my earlier chapters didn't hold up as well to my current ones. I decided to revisit the early chapters and tweak them a bit to match my current writing level.
Chapters 1-3 received pretty big edits while the others only had small tweaks here and there. Now I can confidently say I'm happy with how everything looks so far.
They're not published yet, but I just got done writing chapters 13 and 14. For some reason, they were the hardest for me to write. They seem so simple when you're reading it, but it took a lot out of me mentally. They're doing a lot of heavy set up and I needed to make sure everything happened naturally and didn't come off as "author forced".
I want to thank everyone who has been reading this story. I know I've barely started, but I can't wait for everyone to see what I have in store.
