HI!
          
          Long time no talk! If you have update notifications on for WMW, you will know. If you do not, however, I will happily let you know that I just published the "Prologue of Sorts??" This is something that I had been trying to figure out for a while now. Kiara's story means so much to me, and this is another snippet of her past. I hop you enjoy it as much as I do. It opens up so much more doors for both Kiara and myself to write and work on her character development.

After strenuous hours of rewriting, I finally was able to write the words, "The End." Though this story is far from being over.
          
          I'm sure that if you've been keeping up with my tiktok, then you know that I have officially finished rewriting When Mountains Wake!!!
          
          The final word count rings in at around 146,000 words and 487 pages in A5 format!
          
          I can't wait to share this story with the word, it's been living in my heart for quite some time and now it finally grew a pair to show me the story. 
          

 UPDATED SYNOPSIS  (and other updates)
          
          “The sun still rises and the moon still sets. The tides still come in. The world is not lost to me yet, just as I was not lost to the world. And I would not be forgotten.” 
          
          The assassin has gone by many names. The most notable being one that her lover gave to her. It suits her past and future, right down to the very edge of a blade. 
          
          The prince was forgotten by the world, left to the shadows by his own father for his protection. However, when a certain woman waltzes into his life on the string of a bow, his world changes. 
          
          The captain has tried to maintain order within the Guard, but not all is possible when your trouble-making, childhood best friend beds the prince that you are sworn to protect. 
          
          The maker wants a different life, but when your kingdom sticks you in a mold, it is hard to forge your own path within the ruins of an old society. 
          
          When the mountains wake, and everyone’s lives shift once more, all order is suddenly forgotten.
          
          Other updates:
          
          - I have 2 chapters left of the rewrite. 
          In the rewrite, I stuck to the same storyline and just switched out some of the subplots. 
          
          - I have 133,000 words. 
          I will still have the same amount of chapters as I had before (40), they are all just longer. I added more description in hopes to create a better picture in the reader's mind.
          
          - In current A5 format, I have 450 pages...

Update!
          Even though there are only 373 of you, I thought that you all should know that I just reached a word count of 95,000 in the rewrite of WMW!!! I'm so happy. I have 13 chapters left and everyday I get closer.

HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT
          As many of you have possibly seen, I just posted revisions to the sample chapters of When Mountains Wake. What those revisions include, you may be wondering. Well, they are completely rewritten chapters 1 and the newly renames chapter 2. 
          
          I chose to rewrite the entirety of WMW. It started to no longer feel like the story that I was writing. It started to feel foreign to me. It didn't feel right. And even though I am 12,000 words into writing the second book, I am still unhappy about some of the chapters in WMW are written. 
          
          So, I am changing it. :) Making it into something new. Making it into something 1000% better and more pleasurable to read.

Draft 3 has been posted –– only of chapters 1&2 though because sample :). Look out for the legend of Calla and Neera --- the lands of above and below.

Idk if you get notifications for chapter edits, so... here is an update of sorts!
          
          This is a reminder that all that you see will be changed... I will be updating the available chapters as I make my way through the editing process. THOUGH, I will not be entirely deleting the first draft off of here. You see, it is my goal to inspire others, and showing the before and after self-editing, I believe will inspire some of you. SO, I will simply say to scroll to see the first draft, as the second draft -- and future drafts -- will be at the top.
          
          If I have caused any confusion I am sorry, but I too am confused. This is simply a trial by fire for me :)

I have decided to shorten the time that part 1 will be posted. On the same note, I have decided to take more of it than I originally said, down.  
          I have my reasons, please respect them.
          
          Part one will be up until January 15!!! At 12pm EST the whole story will be taken off -- aside from chapters 1-5
