I find it funny that it's gonna be 2026 soon, I've been on this app for God knows how long and there are still people that follow me that think I'm a woman-
          	
          	I am a "king" not a "queen" for a reason. 
          	
          	It's always fun surprising people though since the assumption is always that women are the ones making gay fanfiction (which thank you, y'all are the backbone of all fandoms) but no... I'm just a gay man lol. (And I love finding more men in these spaces to like yes bro make gay stuff love that for you.)
          	
          	Also, off topic but I've been thinking about all the Deku criticisms people make about him being too emotional and crying a lot and that always rubbed me the wrong way especially when growing up (and still to this day tbh) I've been told to stop being so emotional because I'm a man... Like sorry I feel emotions? Would you rather me have no feeling and be a complete dick to everyone? But yeah, that's one of my favorite things about Izuku. We need more emotional men in media to represent men like me lol.

So I did get around to watching episode 10 and first things first, I wanna say I learned one important lesson: If you wanna find out something, find it yourself because people view things drastically different. (I was afraid of watching the episode because of mixed reviews on the cliff scene but I will now give you my thoughts!)
          
          I don't know if it's because I don't ship them or what but personally, I didn't find the cliff scene to be romantic at all? Maybe I'm normal and saw a girl grieving and a friend that cared about her that came to her comfort. (Sure, you can screenshot certain scenes and out of context, it could be seen as romantic but with full context, no, I didn't find it romantic at all which is great because it's not supposed to be.)
          
          I actually thought the cliff scene was done really well. Animation was beautiful as it has been all season and Ochaco's VA did a wonderful performance, it got me tearing up.
          
          Deku and Spinner's scene was also great, and I have to appreciate the small bkdk moment we got like always.
          
          But yeah, while it wasn't my favorite chapter in the manga and out of this season, I definitely think this episode is the weakest for me, it's still a 9/10 episode for me. (And it's not because of the cliff scene, I have other issues with the writing, I won't get into all that lol)
          
          I've decided to stop caring about other people's interpretations, especially if they're wrong, and I'm going to believe whatever I want because I'm always correct. (I'm partly joking before anyone tries to attack me-)

@ExplosionPrincess eh I'm working til a lil past midnight so I'm awake against my will lol so you're not late. But yeah I feel that. I get all my emotions out through writing fanfiction (and sometimes reading it when I have time.)

I just have so much I want to say about MHA but I get so carried away sometimes and ik it makes some people uncomfortable so I just burn that energy by reading bkdk. And I also sometimes feel like I have a hard time getting my words to make sense! Dont worry girl lol

I work an 8 hour shift today so I probably won't get to watch the new episode until tomorrow. (I work until midnight, it ain't happening today.) 
          
          Unlike the other MHA episodes, I'm not in a rush to watch this one. It was my least favorite chapter in the final arc and barely anyone online is talking about it so lol. 
          
          (And let me be clear; it has nothing to do with ships. I have issues with the writing of the chapter and how certain people twist the cliff scene and apparently there's rumors bones make it romantic which is gross imo because it's a trama scene but it could be untrue. I'll find out soon.)
          
          Honestly, anything relating to Ochaco I'm always mixed on because I think her writing is not great. (I still love you and your work Horikoshi but I have my criticisms.) And this chapter/episode is no different with how they handle her. 
          
          The animation looks nice tho from what I've seen. :3
          
          And if anyone has watched it, please tell me if they did or didn't make the cliff scene romantic and be honest with me. I appreciate it.

@ItzMeAshx I guess it's up to interpretation (and smart people will understand the scene better anyway) but I already have you my thoughts on your message board so I ain't rehashing all that lol.

I went to rewatch that scene after replying to your question because I sped through it the first time, and I think I overreacted a *little* bit
            
            I'd say Bones romanticized the scene more than the manga, especially by adding sound effects that mimic a heartbeat earlier on in the episode to suggest the cliff scene will be romantic, but it actually wasn't too bad. I just think the approach to the scene wasn't amazing because adding a romantic aspect to a scene where Ochaco was venting is really off-putting (and tbh whenever romance is involved everyone starts acting OOC)
            
            I braced myself a little before watching the episode but, all in all, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I really liked how they animated Izuku's discussion with Spinner and the little scene about the embers at the end of the episode

I love karma. Bkdk wins again. Sorry but after all the harassment, death threats, homophobic comments, they deserve this idc I ain't gonna hold a truce, not gonna be nice, nothing. I love seeing these people being upset that their awful chapter is gonna be an ova. It makes me laugh lol.

I wish more people could take off the shipping glasses so they can see that the majority of the fanbase don't hate the chapter because of Izuku and Ochaco, they hate it because they care about the story and it's characters and that chapter felt so different from the past 430 chapters. It felt like bad fanfiction lol. Let's say Izuku and Ochaco did become canon from that chapter but the characters weren't ooc. Sure, probably still wouldn't be my favorite chapter but I wouldn't be as upset because 1) I'll still ship bkdk no matter what, canon doesn't matter and 2) at the very least the characters didn't feel like skinwalkers lol. But that isn't reality. Reality is it's a bad ooc chapter and the "canon" ship ain't even canon. They're just friends that want to start hanging out again because for whatever reason in the past eight years they didn't. (Which is also just a slap in the face to those people that ship them like wow yeah my favorite ship haven't interacted for eight years they really love each other pfft-)

@The_Bakudeku_King THIS. I think the majority of people who really enjoyed chapter 431 are the ones who dislike bkdk, and that makes me a little sad. Not because they don't ship bkdk, but because they don't seem to care about the characters enough since they're able to overlook how horribly OOC they were acting just because they got a "ship" scene. It shows their lack of care for these characters and how they're willing to ignore such blatantly strange behaviour because their ship is finally "canon" (it isn't tho, as Horikoshi has stated)
            
            I also just wanna clarify that I'm not being a hypocrite by saying this because, if the roles were reversed and bkdk was having that conversation instead of Izuku and Ochaco, I'd be pretty upset about how botched their characters were </3
            
            But yeah, anyway, I'm also really hoping to see the scenes from the fanbook in the anime! I can't believe Katsuki played the biggest role in saving up for the hero costume just so Izuku could live his dream again, and they could compete side by side... for the rest of their lives <3

@ItzMeAshx I'm just glad because my I really wanted the series to end with 430 because I think it's a great way to end the series. The only people who think 431 is "a better ending" are people that hate bkdk. like shipping aside, the chapter was so ooc and bad. If I shipped Izuku and Ochaco I'd be pissed like "that's all they got?" but a small sector of those shippers (not gonna say all because there are good ones, just like how there are bad bkdks sadly) are just so desperate for a one up on bkdks, they'll take a "let's talk more" and dap up as a "love confession". Sure buddy. I mean, at least we get to see more scenes of them as adults that's all I care about. Plus, I hope they also add the bonus from the fanbook because even with that boring chapter being adapted, the least they could do is end it on showing Deku as a hero and have the last ever animated mha scene be Deku in his mech suit smiling. (Instead of it ending with... y'know... badly executed hetslop lol)

Spoilers for Episode 9 of MHA Final Season
          
          Y'all already know what my favorite scene is, the voice acting from Nobuhiko was phenomenal. Another well-executed bkdk moment finally animated. 
          
          I was a little upset at first that they butchered the line Katsuki says (Y'all know the one, it's in my bio) it was fairly close but it ended with "from now on" instead of "for the rest of our lives" and yes, a nitpick but it still bothered me.
          
          HOWEVER, thank you Twitter for pointing out that the translation by Crunchyroll was incorrect and in Japanese, he does say something along the lines of "forever/always like this" so I'm no longer upset. I am starting to hate Crunchyroll though but it's the only anime app. I'm not pirating sorry. I rather pay than see nasty po//rn ads pop up every ten seconds. 
          
          Rest of the episode was good ofc, the Todoroki scene was really good. I remember having issues with it in the manga but either it was because I didn't fully process it or the anime added more to make it feel like it had proper closure. Either way, I enjoyed it. 
          
          I hope despite it not being a high stakes episode, it still gets a high rating because so far, this season has had 9/10 ratings and I think it'd be perfect if that streak continued. (I was doubtful knowing "that" chapter was gonna be animated but it sounds like it will be an OVA so hehe not actually part of the season, just a bonus skipable episode) (I will get all the screenshots of adult Bakugo and Deku tho I need that in my life, I just ain't watching sorry excuse for hetslop :3)

@The_Bakudeku_King  Dude it was so peak, I love seeing you post abt each episode, and, yeah, me too with the crying part, damn, this whole episode hurt like hell, only three more episodes until the end   but hey, thats why fan fiction exists, and even if i will still watch THAT ova, I just need to see the two gays being gay for the last time

side note; I started tearing up at the credits. not because of the episode per se but just being hit with the realization that it's really ending. the final season has all felt like a fever dream because the episodes are spectacular but at the same time to be reminded that the series is ending hurts and doesn't feel real at all.
