I love to write, and I think I'm pretty decent at it, I hope you think so too! Though, apparently not yet good enough to get published... Then again, I've only ever sent one manuscript to a publisher (Ghost Fields - before it was polished up to its current state).
And honestly I don't even care about being published. I write for me, and I share it for you. I hope you enjoy my stories! Please don't hesitate to let me know if you find any errors or discrepancies!
I spent most of middle and high school reading every book Mercedes Lackey had put out by then (and I still read them) so I would say she influenced the way that I write the most. I don't know if you will see it or not, if you're even a Lackey fan. Recently, I've also become quite enamored of works by Patricia Briggs, Kim Harrison, and Carrie Vaughn (a fellow Coloradoan). These wonderful ladies have inspired some of my latest stories, which you'll see once the Mendhavi Trilogy has been finished and I let some of my other characters out to play.
I grew up on the front range of northern Colorado but lived two years on the Colorado prairie, and five years in central Alaska.
I love traveling. Sadly, I have only been to Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, Mexico & England. I hope to make it elsewhere soon! I'm especially interested in visiting South America (especially Machu Picchu), eastern Europe, Asia, and Australia/NZ, but ideally I will see the entire world in my lifetime. :D Ambitious aren't I?
I have a black German Shepherd and a fuzzy grey cat, Apollo and Oona, a betta named Duke Cirrus, a snail - Mr Spex, and six hens: 2 Americauna Violet and Petunia, Daisy (a Delaware), Poppy (a Black Australorp), Chryssy (Chrysanthemum - a giant blue cochin) and Cali (Calico - a Russian Orloff).
In November 2014 I got a Czech Shepherd puppy and I am training him for Search and Rescue, which takes up a lot of the time that my garden doesn't.
