Haseki Gevherhan Sultana, originally of Slavic/Balkan origin, came to the harem of the Sehzade Suleiman. She is the breath of relief Suleiman wants when Mahidevran and Hurrem's antics bother him. 

She is the mother of Zeynep, Osman, Humasah, and later on Mahmud and Ahmed as well. 

Her relationships with Suleiman's sisters-Gevherhan has a sisterly relationship with Hatice, a frenemy relation with Sah(they both respect each other and Sah prefers her over Hurrem), she is not close with but is friendly to Beyhan and gets along well with Fatma.
