          As you know, AFOF chronologically takes place before AROR, even though I've been working on both of them simultaneous. However, I've gotten too far ahead in AROR, so in order to avoid spoilers, the next few days are going to be AFOF updates only. I plan to finish the book next week. I'm still writing AROR, just not posting chapters, so you'll get a whole bunch of them in a row in about a week or so. Happy Holidays, and thanks for your patience! -YTH

My previous record for most notifications in a single night was about 40. Today, I woke up and had almost 300! I have absolutely no idea what happened, but it has me stunned, with a perma-smile on my face. Welcome, everyone, and thank you!

Hi, everyone, sorry for the barrage of messages. This one is for information regarding future updates. I've been feeling a little overwhelmed lately, so my new plan is to update a week's worth of writing every Saturday in the afternoon rather than every day. It might be more than the equivalent of a chapter a day, or it might be less. I'm hoping that this will take the pressure off of me a little, and that you all will be able to enjoy more chapters in a row rather than spacing them out. I'll start doing that now, meaning you can expect updates this Saturday (Dec. 7th). If I find I don't like doing it like this, I'll let you know and switch back to a daily routine. Similarly, if this doesn't work for you, please let me know, and I'll try to find another solution. As always, thank you for reading, voting, and especially your kind comments.

          Surprise! There's a new story! (Besides A Flare of Flames).
          This one is called A Rise of Roses, and it will be Aurik's story. I'm thinking I'll work on both stories simultaneously, since that makes it easier for my ADHD brain to work. Apparently, notifications are screwed up again, but I hope this reaches anyone who's interested.
          Once again, thank you all so much for your interest in these stories. You have no idea what it's meant to me.

Hi, everyone! A couple of things.
          Firstly, I’ll be posting a chapter of ASOS tonight. Apologies for the slow rate, and thank you for your patience.
          Secondly (and more importantly) I love seeing heated comments, especially those who roast Aster in Avelin’s defence. Your passion for this story and its characters blows my mind and humbles me.
          However, what I won’t tolerate are comments that even approach slut-shaming or homophobia. Obviously, we’re talking about fictional characters, so it’s not like they can be personally offended, but that kind of bullshit belongs nowhere near this story. I don’t want anyone who even accidentally opens it to be exposed to that kind of hatred and prejudice. If your morals prevent you from reading, please feel free to stop and pray for Avelin’s (imaginary) soul. But kindly fuck off.
          To everyone else, I am extraordinarily grateful to you for giving this story a chance. Each one of your comments and votes literally makes me feel giddy.
