I think for your question on implementing themes I would say you could think about the colors and symbolism of certain objects to the book (I have one of mine, not published, where there is a hand reaching out to five butterflies because one it is a poly book and two the MC is reaching out for freedom). You could also add a quote from the book to the cover. I did that with the one I sent above, I really liked it when I read it. I hope this helps <3
