[ full pink lips press into a thin line, light still present in her warm brown eyes. her head tilts slightly, glancing down at his movements, not out of suspicion; just observation. she extends her hand, wondering if he would even bother taking it, ] it’s charlotte, [ the southern drawl in her voice ever present as she spoke, ] friends call me lottie.

[ probably not for the right reasons with the way she says it, but hey—- the attention is what he craves, no matter if it’s good or bad. he shifts his weight onto his right leg, hands finding the comfort of compression in the small pockets of his jacket. ]    ah, right. where are my manners? my name is aden. what’s yours, miss sparkles?    [ he should stop with the jokes, but he just can’t help himself. ]

            [ charlotte takes a moment to look at him, a sweet smile laced in sarcasm falls slightly, reducing to a mere twitch of her lips. there was something inhuman in his smile, mechanical and sharp, like the world can be caught in it. ] you’ve definitely got mine. [ she states matter of fact, ] but i think i need to put a name to the face.

iv. sixteen was when charlotte went on her first hunt, she was used as bait for a hungry vampire feasting on young girls. lottie was able to hold her own with him and proved she was a quick learner. now she still hunts, her kindness and somewhat trigger happy personality is a bit off-putting to some but she’s as sweet as honey when you get to know her. 

iii. when she was about ten, her family decided it was time to tell her what happened to her parents. they were killed by a shapeshifter, and although charlotte had repressed the memory, she remembers the sight of peeled off skin and a faceless being in the shadows. they thought her the basics of the supernatural world, and taught her how to shoot a gun; starting with non lethal weapons first.
