Listening to songs that give you a light and new feeling at almost 3 a.m. makes you feel nice while you write something that you want. Like you're running away really really early in the morning, with a mix of adrenaline and weariness. Riding down a partially empty freeway as you blast the songs that give you the light feeling, it's nice.
