@arabellaintersteller - Hey author! I just finished reading Out of the Dark, and I genuinely have to say—this story pulled me in completely. I loved it. First off, the cover is seriously unique and immediately caught my attention. It already gave the story its own identity before I even started chapter one. And speaking of chapters, I really liked how you structured everything—especially starting each one with a gif. It adds such a distinct vibe and makes the reading experience feel more immersive and alive. I also really appreciate how intentional the story feels, like you knew exactly what you wanted to build from the very beginning. That really comes through in the writing. Lavinia as a doctor is one of my favorite parts. You don’t often see that in a Peaky Blinders fanfiction, and it made her stand out instantly. It adds such a fresh perspective, especially with her being one of the only female doctors in her field during that time. The historical context made her journey even more powerful—especially her being sent to the front lines during WW1 while still in training. That really felt like a turning point in shaping who she becomes. Her backstory with her family also hit hard. Her mother believing in her potential, and then the tragedy of losing her, plus her father turning away from her… it adds so much emotional weight to who Lavinia is. And I have to say—I was so curious from the start about how Thomas and Lavinia would interact. And honestly? Their dynamic is incredible. Lavinia standing her ground, especially with the Shelby brothers, was both satisfying and entertaining to read. She really doesn’t back down, and it makes every scene she’s in feel powerful. Also, her relationship with Finn was such a soft and unexpected highlight—teaching him to read and write added a really wholesome layer to her character. And I love that you gave her multiple languages too; it makes her feel even more intelligent and layered.

@arabellaintersteller - I also really love how recently you’ve been writing the chapters from either Lavinia’s or Thomas’s perspective. It makes the story feel even more immersive and lets us get deeper into both of their minds, which I think adds a lot to the emotional impact of everything happening. Also, I just wanted to say I really like your profile picture and background—they fit your page’s vibe really well.

@arabellaintersteller - Polly and Ada’s relationship with Lavinia is another thing I really enjoyed. It feels natural but also complicated in a way that fits perfectly into that world. And Polly calling her inexperienced while also being proven wrong in certain ways—that tension was so well done. Thomas and Lavinia’s dynamic, though… it’s probably my favorite part. You’ve written Tommy in such a nuanced way here—the way his emotions toward her come through so clearly, especially the longing and restraint, is really beautifully done. It makes their connection feel intense and real. What I especially mean is that while Tommy already relies on her in many ways, I’m really curious about when he’ll start fully opening up to her—letting her in on his deepest secrets, not just personally but also in business. That emotional and trust barrier feels like one of the biggest tensions between them, and I’m really interested to see if and when it breaks. I even caught myself sometimes forgetting she’s a doctor because she’s so deeply involved with the Shelby world—and that contrast is really interesting. Also… I was honestly stressed every time she got kidnapped that tension was real. I really hope they eventually get a happy ending and maybe even marriage—if that’s where you’re planning to take them. I do have a couple questions for you if you don’t mind answering: Are you planning to continue the story through the earlier seasons only, or are you aiming to cover the full series arc? And have you seen the Peaky Blinders movie? If so, what did you think of it? Either way, I’m really excited to see where you take this story next. Whatever direction you choose, I’m sure it’s going to be amazing.
