"I've gone through everything: from watching my people die to being empty as nothingness," Lucian hisses with a soft smile.

"Why are you even still alive, then?," she asks, not quite understanding his reasons.

"Who? Me?," he smirks at her question. "Who lied to you like that?"

Boop, you’re in the curse, now you have to pass it to 20 people. :)

(Note: I’ve seen others do this, but I still have no idea what this actually is. Just saw this in my feed and decided to try and play along with it. Sorry if it’s a bother!)

@avinashb11 That's okay. :)

@abbyabbyli No worries at all about the delay, Abby! Take all the time you need. At the end of the day, we’re all here on Wattpad to write, read, and back each other up with honest feedback.

Haha, completely agree on the credit thing! Never let anyone steal your thunder, not even a 'bestie-enemy'—keep that ego in check!

Not going to lie (even though spinning a few tall tales is secretly one of my favourite pastimes, don't ask why!), office hours do leave me absolutely shattered. But honestly, it’s a proper miracle—this app has completely replaced my Netflix and YouTube time lately. Your story feels incredibly real and brilliant, and it’s genuinely helping me find my love for reading. (Folded hands).

Spot on about misunderstood characters. They really do stay with you forever. Severus Snape from Harry Potter is my absolute all-time favourite. People always rank him in top movie character lists, but for me, he’s unarguably number one.

Mind you, thanks to your drabble, the suspense is ruined now! I already know Dominic is just misunderstood before his arc even fully kicks off. Our dynamic has been proper sabotaged, hasn't it? Haha!

Ooh, what's the series you're watching? Do tell! I’d love to know what gets your stamp of approval—helps me figure out your taste a bit more.

Also, despite my love for a good white lie, I cross my heart: I’ll only ever give you 100% honest feedback on your work.

Normally, I'd be the boring adult telling anyone your age to put studies first. But your writing style is too good to leave on the back burner. Definitely keep carving out time for it (though, yes, don't get grounded—keep the grades up! I was never a straight-A student myself, so I know exactly how important it actually is, lol).

Haha, and by the way, looking at your replies to her, absolutely no one could tell you were panicking. Handled it like a pro!

@abbyabbyli Writing really is a fascinating thing, isn't it? Sometimes it feels like playing God . You hold the ultimate power of destiny—you can make a character incredibly lucky, or just casually destroy them on a whim . (Apologies if that sounds a bit arrogant, but every writer secretly enjoys that 'supreme creator' vibe sometimes! I guess! )

Also, offended? Not at all! How could I be? Trust me, nothing you said was remotely offensive. That’s not rambling at all. you’re just wonderfully expressive, and that is precisely what makes you such a good writer!

And please believe me, I have absolutely no idea how that unfollow happened! I was so embarrassed the moment I noticed it and immediately hit follow again. I am so incredibly sorry for that weird mishap!

And about that 2,000-character restriction, I totally get it! But honestly, what I find even more annoying about Wattpad is how it messes up emojis. It always makes me so anxious because, without emojis, it's so hard to convey the actual tone or playful sense behind a message. I’m constantly worried that something I said might be misinterpreted and accidentally offend the other person!

Oh! Well, I might actually have to ask Gemini what exactly qualifies as 'dark romance' because I genuinely don't know the proper definition! Though now that I think about it, maybe I’ve watched a lot of dark romance movies without realizing it (kind of like a Harley Quinn and Joker love story vibe?) Either way, I’d love to check out your other dark romance works too, especially since 'Enemy Undercover' feels so incredibly real and amazing!

So it’s a deal then—'I Never Forgot You' is definitely my next read! The title itself sounds beautifully heartbreaking. I'm warning you though, if this story ends up making me too sad... I won't let you off easy! I’m also working on a short story for that LGBTQ+ prompt ('The Prince Who Defied the Prophecy'—I think I mentioned it to you before?). But honestly, I have total faith in your talent; you absolutely deserve to win that competition!

I completely agree that this month's drabble prompt is a tough nut to crack. I did come up with a rough concept, though I haven't developed it yet. The idea revolves around two people in an ancient, tribal era—a time before society created any rigid rules. Back then, their love would have been seen as completely normal. (But then again, if it’s totally normal, how do I send them on a journey of self-discovery? Lol!) Well, I have two days left, so let's see how it goes.

@abbyabbyli It's amazing that you have a supportive community of writer friends to bounce ideas off of, rather than just doing empty 'Read-for-Read' loops. I’ve never really understood the appeal of R4R anyway; a few hundred views through trades don't mean much when every writer secretly dreams of reaching millions of readers! And hey, I’m always here for a brutally honest exchange of feedback—I prefer raw honesty myself, so feel free to drop any critiques my way whenever you feel like it, and I'll gladly do the same!
Also, I’m so happy to hear that you proved yourself to your parents. That’s a huge achievement, especially when balancing studies and writing! My own parents used to worry like crazy about my education back then, but unlike you, I was a total lost cause who just wouldn't study... So major respect to you for handling it so well. Enjoy this phase, you have the whole world ahead of you!

@abbyabbyli It's so interesting to hear about your 'bestie-enemy'! No wonder the dynamic between Dominic and Ivy feels so authentic and alive—you've literally poured a real-life inspiration into it! That friend should definitely get some credit for this masterpiece.
As for getting overloaded with books, I honestly have no idea how that feels. Right now, 'Enemy Undercover' is the only book I'm reading—just one chapter a day—and that’s solely because it’s incredibly engaging. Otherwise, I’ve bought plenty of books by famous authors where I haven't even opened the first page! But today, I genuinely felt so sorry for Dominic. He is so deeply misunderstood, and you’ve captured that character arc beautifully. People really do look for that kind of emotional depth.
I completely get your point about shifting interests. Even though I’m a huge cinephile, my Netflix watchlist is packed with incomplete movies! Coming back from the office every day brings a different mood—sometimes I want comedy, sometimes thriller, horror, or just drama. Half the time, I end up falling asleep mid-movie and starting a whole new one the next day with a fresh mood. So, I completely understand how your reading list changes!
