I was 14 when I had my first anaphylactic attack. I’ve always been allergy-prone—soil in Maharashtra gave me hives, and hygiene products triggered reactions—but nothing compared to that night.
I’d eaten Keya pasta and taken a Pudin Hara capsule for a stomachache—something I’d used since childhood. Minutes later, I was itching, my face and tongue swelled, and my skin stretched so fast I saw stretch marks form. My loose clothes suddenly fit snug. I knew it was anaphylaxis—I wanted to be a doctor and had watched House MD. I told the ER doctor I was in shock. He gave me epinephrine. My BP was 50/30. When I asked if it was deadly, he said, “No, it just looks scary.” My mom believed him over me.
Three months later, it happened again—after homemade pasta and Pudin Hara. This time, my mom said she’d bathe and go to the temple before taking me to the hospital. I couldn’t breathe. My vision blurred. I called my dad—he was in another state. He booked me an auto and screamed at my mom to move. I dragged myself out, barely conscious. The auto driver helped me. My BP was worse than before. I was dying. I begged the doctor to admit it—he finally did. But still no EpiPen, no allergy test.
Now, I carry steroids I bought without a prescription. My mom cried after she finally researched anaphylaxis. My dad, a former marine, remembered watching a friend die from the same thing. That trauma resurfaced seeing me nearly die—twice.
The worst part? It wasn’t just the attack. It was not being believed.

@thedevilsw1fe It's fine but I'm doing but okay because I stupidly took the science sector and decided to pursue engineering , but , it needs me to have a brain, which I don't think I have rn . I'm kind of regretting that decisions right now
