There comes a time in everyone's life when they decide to write a book.  Not everybody actually starts writing and not everybody that starts finishes.  

After a Military career spanning 36 years everybody thought I would write a war story.  I just don't think I have a war story in me.

But I do have time.  Lots of time.  Retirement will do that to you. I have often toyed with the idea of writing a book but never thought I would actually start.  One day after a particular bad day on pain medication I hit on the concept for a story. I wrote a note on my Iphone so I would remember it in the morning. It said "Time travel dependent on the time of day one goes to sleep."

So then I started writing.  I can't wait to find out what happens.  The only problem with writing is it takes longer than reading so it takes longer to find out what happens.
