ARGHHHHHHH BYLER DOUBT IS SO REAL RN BYE✌️

There have been too many debates about whether internet is a boon or bane. And what better way to know than completely eradicating it for a whole month and watching people all over the world go absolutely nuts?

A very good morning to one and all present here. I'm a person with a name and I'll be talking about the dire consequences of the hypothetical situation of not having internet for a whole month. I'm crossing my fingers that it doesn't really happen though.

Many of you here know that my entire personality revolves around being ridiculously, uncontrollably and shamelessly hyperactive in group chats. I genuinely don't think I'd be able to live without that, it's an existential necessity at this point. It'd be almost impossible to know me completely if you haven't texted me much, I feel like a completely new person in text. True, I'm excessively dramatic and kinda chaotic in both cases, but it hits different through text.

See, I'm not a youtube or any other social media addict. But there's something about whatsapp that drags me in. And trust me, I've not yet found a way to escape my imprisonment, not that I don't enjoy it.

No one can tell me that I don't socialise, oh I very much do. I just do it in my own way. And if there's no right way for anything, then there's absolutely nothing you can say about mine.

And if me, a borderline internet addict (I'm sure a few of you wouldn't agree with me) but if I don't think I can survive without internet, it's frightening thinking about the people who believe that Instagram reels are their lifeline of existence. Come on, you can stop being in denial.

Oh, and the chatGPT addicts over here? Yes, I'm looking RIGHT at you. You may think you're being all shady and stuff, but an AI generation is blatantly obvious.

Now this makes us wonder how people living in the ages before the groundbreaking discovery of internet did in their time. Is it actually believable that they just played outdoor games and minded their own business? Because to our generation, doesn't that seem kinda suspicious?

We've all heard our parents go on and on about how we would know about the importance of something only if we don't have it for a while. I've never really understood the point, how could we ever not have food or a house or even a pen, assuming we're going to live a pretty normal life. I always reply with snappy responses and now they've learned to not say that to me again, thanks to my quick tongue. But when I was given this topic, I was utterly horrified. It was like my nightmares come true.

Okay, jokes aside, what would we ACTUALLY do without the internet? Sure, we'd be in a state of absolute perplexion for a while, but after that? Would we get used to it and move on, or would we go into the state of depression. The latter is highly likely, looking at the current state of our generation. But don't worry, I'm with you guys too!

Would the world descend into absolute chaos or would we find ways to survive without something that is nowadays seemingly more important than the breath of life? I think we'll find a way, or even an alternative. Humans are known to have done that since the beginning of their existence, why wouldn't they do that now? We're smart, we're resourceful, and we are critical thinkers. Or atleast, we're designed to be all of those. Whether you use those gifts or not is entirely in your hands.

To sum it up, living without internet would be indisputably painful, but we'll make it through. If not, we always have our offline dino game to go!

            Thank you!

Check out the first chapter of my first story, Roses from the Night!
Warning for this book:it may be a bit mentally and emotionally damaging becuz I’m genuinely a horrible person haha, but the first few chapters are sweet enough(I think). Also, don’t expect a slow-burn because I literally have no patience for that.

glittergremlinluvsu

Also I did not edit the first chapter at all and tbh I don’t plan to
