Kevin Hudson - Author Biography
 "and somewhere he was born"

Kevin is in his fifty third year and knows the year when the horseman will call.  

Earlier, much earlier, he studied science at a top university. He found working with numbers easy and became king of a succession of dung heaps by counting beans. 

But reader, let me ask you this? What is better? To smugly rule the dump or sit destitute and bereft at the bottom of a goldmine?

And for Kevin, that golden mother lode is words. In truth he isn't very good with them. But they are his passion, his distraction, his slow, slow, struggle; the furnace-forge that blows life into characters which had lived within him for a lifetime. 

Tom Clovely and Arien Rocksheart; Silverbane, Illian and Yahl; the Knights of Ukko and Baron Staal; the Hatchling Man (born of an egg); the Swordthanes; Aidan Deverard against the Uzruks; the Anglacheks and the Avarian Empire; Duglas A Harridan, Investigator - indeed all the tales of all the 99 worlds of the One Dreaming God.
 
Theirs are all stories yearning to be born. Birthing pains of creative angst and guilt with the only wish that they have longevity beyond himself, and amongst no wider a circle than family and those considered friends.  

For within this author the clock of Huntingdon's is ticking. Incurable, unstoppable, a juggernaut that kicks in with jerky random movements until in the end they feed you through a straw because you've lost the memory to swallow. 

But at least it is punctual. 

For it is true miracle of modern medicine that from a blood test and a count of tri-nucleotide DNA repeats, geneticists can predict Huntington's arrival to within a year. 

They tell you you're healthy now, but that won't last. 

They have done their DNA base pair counting. 

The raven call will sound in Kevin's sixty fifth year. 

Those waiting to be born better get a move on.
