@herbie100 Thank you for the update. My gosh you were lucky. Insurance claims the world over are always up hill. Why go in business promising to insure then bitch every step of the way when they have to pay. Mom nature gets feisty every year around this time. I feel for the families being evacuated in those remote towns. Everything will be lost. My kids lived up there when they were first married and my grandsons were born up there. Even now they still live a couple of hours drive from me, and I'm right on Lake Ontario (about a kilometer away) Seems real life IS stranger than fiction, eh? Be well.

@lyttlejoe yup wreck junkyard. my son went to get all our "stuff" out the car. The wreck happened just off I10 some what close to small town of Gonzales. Son told me the wrecker driver operates out of his house. his storage area is a pasture in front of his house. might want a couple of horses so you can give them some rest. we started the process of filing a claim this morning. Man that was FUN, NOT. my poor wife got frustrated but SHE was successful. WE think. We really liked that explorer. thought would be the last car we bought. Man plans GOD laughs. looking at the damage. our uneducated guess is totaled. gotta thank Ford for side air bags. My son, EMS now Fireman, told me "Dad no airbags and you might not be here now". That is one impressive FOREST. as dry as a LOT of Texas is we do have some nice forest. NOT like yours. just saw that iRowan has updated "the Nun and the King. been awhile she has had some problems. Take care and stay inside.

@herbie100 A car wreck! Junkyard! I'm surprised you say you are both okay. Guess you'll have to grease the wheels on that old Conestoga at the bottom of the garden and rent a horse. ;P) Still adding chapters to the challenges I entered. Air has been more tolerable lately. The Boreal forest (270 million hectares) are so huge and inaccessible in many places, all they can do is water bomb - and that looks pretty puny along side the size. We're all doing this to ourselves with the changing climate. I fear for my great grandchildren.
