Anne of Avonlea made me cry but not because I liked it
IT COMPLETELY RUINS THE MAGIC OF THE FIRST BOOK. THE BOY CHILDREN WERE INFURIATING AND ARE CURRENTLY IN MY TOP TEN MOST HATED FICTIONAL CHARACTERS (with the exception of Anthony Pye who was more interesting than any of them). GILBERT, DIANA, AND POOR PRECIOUS BABY DORA ARE SIDELINED BC SHES MORE HELPFUL AND WELL-MANNERED THAN HER BROTHER.
It would have been an amazing book without the male kids and some more planning but the author was clearly on a deadline </3

I really love it :) It’s going SO WELL. Or… it was. I’m in a writing burnout and I haven’t written in a hot minute because of what’s been going on in my life but I want to get back to the rewrite SO BAD. IT’S TURNING OUT SO WELL AHHH-

@honeyjammm that’s true but I actually do read comics sometimes because I don’t include them in that same slump as regular books I read Calvin and Hobbes, Phoebe and her unicorn, countless marvel and dc comics and more all the time
