               oh  ,  uhm — trying to memorize lines . sorry , wasn't expecting anyone  -

the longer this went on  ,  the more the nerves swirled around inside of him.  it didn't take long before tears were welling up in his eyes  ,  breaths becoming shaky as he futilely tried to hold it in.  "I'm sorry  ..  I'm really sorry.  I'm not bad  ..  I promise I'm not."

                 was panicking doing something ? he tried to reason with himself that this was still the same sweet person from before . that fai literally just protected him . but having seen that form , it just brought back unwanted memories . 

they stared wide eyed at lewis  —  waiting for a reaction.  they expected it to be bad.  why wouldn't it be?  after they had revealed what he really was  —  that he had been lying.  "will you just  ..  just   /  do something  /   already?  yell or or  —  run  ..  something!"

"but I'm   /  hungry  /   and you're the only food source in sight."  they frowned at him.  "do you want me to starve??"

"that's a stupid mindset.  being mean won't fix anything."  without much of a thought  ,  he leaned into the hold.  "I don't want to be in charge of  ..  of making them feel better.  that just means I feel bad instead.  that's not fair  ..  "

                 lewis was silent for a moment before wrapping an arm around their shoulders . `` they're just jealous of you . their lives are so miserable they have to pick on someone else to make themselves feel better . ``

"closets are  ..  fun?  all dark and  ..  more dark."  they awkwardly tugged at their shirt as he spoke.  "  ..  's not a big deal.  they just think I'm weird  —  which is super dumb.  they wouldn't leave me alone  —  kept calling me things  ..  wanted to get away."

"usually go club room  ..  quiet  ,  private  ,  steal snacks."  he finally turned to walk the correct way  ,  slowing a bit to fall in line with lewis.

                it wouldn't have taken much to convince lewis to skip . he hated classes . `` is there somewhere in mind you have planned to go to ? `` 

he shrugged.  "no harm.  plus  ,  option makes feel like own choice."  he would have found a way to drag lewis along one way or another.

ezrra let out a yelp of surprise  ,  sputtering as he shoved the pillow away.  his glare turned into a baffled look  ,  staring at lewis with   '  wtf  '   visibly showing on his face.  "was awesome  ..  then threw pillow.  now jerk."  he was tempted to throw the pillow back  ,  but he didn't know if he wanted to start a war quite yet.  "ughh .. is nice  —  I guess!  no big head."

                lewis scoffs at that , a pillow immediately being thrown at ezrra's head . `` right . a pity you won't see these pillows being thrown at you . `` maybe this was getting a little petty now .  `` am I an awesome brother or what ? learning sign language for you . ugh , I feel really unappreciated here . `` 

ezrra scoffed  ,  crossing his arms as he sent a glare in lewis' direction.  his one defense  —  taken from him.  this was terrible  ..  even if he was silently touched that lewis had taken the time to learn.  "mm  ..  nope  ,  sorry  —  blind now.  can't see.  pity."
