As much as a story is the prerogative of the author it's also their moral responsibility to promote good values to their readers. Especially on issues of sexual assault, its okay to write about it because it happens but how you weave the story is very critical. For example hold the perpetrators to justice and not perpetuate victim blaming behavior. When you write about sexual harn on a normal spectrum of behaviour and that a victim can just forgive the perpetrator easily and make excuses about it, then it normalizes the behaviour and that is not okay. Think of Disney and the price rescues a girl and marries her troupe and how many years it's still taking us to move away from those ideas. That is what is called normalization. So stop normalizing sexual harm
