hi all! me again, years along.

i want to write so so much but my exams are taking it out of me, and i feel like i'm too old to be writing fanfics that get no reads..

nonetheless, i've got an idea for a new story (because i'm really feeling the vibe of hp at the minute):

following the "marriage law" trope, a 7th year (now 8th year following the wizarding war) student learns of the law, and, being 19, thinks she'll get out of it, as she is not a child susceptible to this kind of force (alongside the fact that she is bi, and has a whole ass girlfriend), so she does not attend the assembly, instead wandering the halls while they're quiet, using her wand to clear out little bits of shrapnel she comes across. though the school is much improved, there are entire halls out of use, and the gryffindors are having to sleep in the great hall, which interferes with both breakfast and dinner, and they're very grumpy about it, leading them to snap at people on the odd occasion.
regardless of her abscence, the student's name is drawn. and she is paired with severus snape, who, believe it or not, is NOT her girlfriend.

snape, on the other hand, is baffled by this: he thought he was too old for this. too injured. too broken. he was lucky to survive the attempted murder of lord voldemort and he was fortunate to not have been sent to azkaban for his (fake) alliegance to him.
most everyone is paired with those that they fell in love with through the war: neville and luna, harry and ginny, ron and hermione..

yet this student is paired with snape, a man 20 years her senior, her ex-teacher, and, coincidentally, one of the only men that she had ever had a crush on.

how will her girlfriend react? what will happen to their relationship? how will snape treat her?

          	i don't know, because i haven't written it yet.

I really want to write 2 books, the same love story from 2 different perspectives, potentially linking in with the 'My Sunflower' opening I wrote in my 'Little Things' book.

          Picture this:
A girl and a boy. Him, the sun (revered through generations, though heavily flawed), and her, the moon (disliked by many, though her hamartia is her kindness). He falls first, as she is endlessly kind to him despite her gruff outer shell, but she's in love with her best friend, who's straight; also a sunny character. (This part heavily based on a line from a Dodie song that I can't remember the name of for the life of me: 'everyone falls for the sunshine disguise, distracted by who they're thinking of').

Please tell me what you think!! I already kind of have this written in my google docs, but if you want me to do some editing and post chapter one of both, I can definitely do so! Thank you <3
