she lets out a hum from her mouth.

another pause between her words.

you startled me. ( her voice is quiet but firm, her head tilting to the side. the traveler’s brows furrowed, but she didn’t know what else to say. )

“traveler.”
she says, repeating the young woman.
“and you are not troubled to disclose anything to me. that is your will.”
she walks to stand next to the traveler, turning herself to look at the young woman as she spoke.
“what troubles you, traveler? to bring yourself to my village. had something occurred for you to bring yourself to this temple specifically? I am rather curious.”
the woman asks in pure curiosity, the fan still covering her face.

“am i? i hadn’t meant to,” she admitted, giving a small shake of her head. goodness, she should have been paying attention. regardless, she was here now. “hm? ..you can just call me ‘traveler’. i prefer to not disclose my name,” she tried to smile, although it came out more nervous than kindly. shame, at least to her. oh well.
