ANNOUNCEMENT: How the Ice Defeated Me
So, funny story—except not really, because my entire body is screaming in pain. Yesterday Sunday morning, on my innocent little walk to the dining hall, I gracefully slipped on the ice. Why? Because apparently, the pavement decided to betray me overnight. Saturday night? Perfectly fine. Sunday morning? A sneaky little ice rink. And of course, I, being the trusting soul that I am, didn’t notice until gravity made sure I did.
Now, before anyone panics—nothing serious happened (besides my dignity taking a hit), but my body is not happy. I’m sore all over, currently under the influence of painkillers, and basically in a cycle of medicine coma → waking up in pain → more medicine → more sleep. Which means:
No chapter updates (yet)
To my "The Barrister’s Secret" readers – If you were wondering why there was no update yesterday, well… I was out the whole day. And now it’s Monday morning, and guess what? Still in pain. Still in a medicine coma. So, no classes for me today (not that I’d understand anything even if I went—hello, painkiller brain fog). I will post the chapter mid-week once I finish the last few paragraphs!
To my "Reclaimed Legacy" readers – I was in the middle of writing the confrontation between Kairav and Manish (yes, the big one), but this chapter was always going to take a while because there’s so much to address. Whether or not this tragic slip happened, I’d still need time. So be patient, please!
To my "To Love Her Again" readers – The next chapter is outlined, just not written yet. But don’t worry, I’ll get to it once my brain starts functioning again.
In short: I’ll be back to writing in a few days when the medicine coma wears off (and then, unfortunately, back to classes too—honestly, so unfair that I can’t even enjoy this break because I’m literally sleeping through it).
Anyway, see you all soon! And to anyone walking outside—watch out for sneaky ice. It’s out for blood. ❄️☠️
