I'm trying to figure out how to "republish" Confidentially Yours in a way that doesn't show up as 32 separate notifications in your feed, but I think that's how Wattpad is making me do it... I'm so sorry! The horror.
Oddly enough I only got one notification that you published a new book. I was geeked then confused. Wonder why I didn’t get separate chapter notifications? Wattpad is so glitchy!
@ConsciousRoyal As long as you don’t unpublish it first, it’s fine. The process of taking the whole book offline was one click. But then it makes you republish chapters individually. (It’s ok, I’m just separating my real fans from the people who will drop me if I annoy them too much)

Don’t worry about it. Makes me worry about doing any actual tweaks though if it does that any time you amend a chapter

When your writing hits you in the feels. But then you realize that you’re not even crying over strangers. They don’t even exist! :(
Such a strange combination of loneliness and never-aloneness this week.
Waking early to write, as usual. This morning I had just enough time to get Riley down the stairs at her sister’s house when a child came down the stairs of my own house asking to do her "chemistry set" (it's not a chemistry set, but I don't tell her this. She "loves chemistry").
And suddenly it’s [cereal and laundry and exodus and the distributive property and mozart and native americans and poetry and spanish and dishes and sending them outside to find animal tracks in the snow and hiding in the bathroom to eat ice cream and missing the turn because I was writing a story in my head about a lepidopterist whose life feels colorless compared to the moth paper he’s writing with his colleague in costa rica]
Writing flash fiction no one will see. Texting Manhattan about a nice thing a stranger said. The jolt of feeling seen so incongruous with the rest of my life. And texting Manhattan about this too. Maybe you should journal about it, he said. And so I did, and this is that.

@MITBeagle Aww, that's adorable. Mine has a build-your-own-kaleidoscope kit where you mix glitter and dye and other things with glycerin to make the pretty patterns. She kept calling the glycerin "glistening." She said it right eventually but it was too cute to correct. "Time to add the glistening." Lol
@n0nsense_verses "Chemistry Set": Reminds me of when my sister raised four and the oldest three went to camp. The youngest was upset, so my sister also stuffed him a backpack with a snack in it, and sent him into their large backyard to "camp" as well. The little guy never knew the difference.
