Dancing to the music of the old radio,
Lonely girl’s body sways to and fro.
Tap on her window, “may I come in?
Said the neighbor boy with the lopsided grin.
“My parents won’t like it, I don’t care,”
She said with a hungry, determined air.
Night fell, he turned to go.
“Wish I could stay. I can’t you know.”
“But you can, just twist the knob,
The radio will do the job.”
He laughed, complied,
Then his grin died
As he swiftly slipped inside.
Now she dances not by herself,
But with her friend who lives on the shelf.
