The worst thing about having parents who are immigrants is that, they don't understand the education here. (In the uk). In primary school only maths and English mattered. Now in high school, it's sciences, and maths, and English if they want to torture me. Okay. I'll study english for my exam on monday. Im locked in and revising then my dad calls me down, "What's your plan today?" Wtf. Okay, revising the FIFTEEN POEMS and QUOTES from ELEVEN CHARACTERS in a novel (dna by dennis kelley) . "Why?" Bc i have my test on monday bastard. Then my mum tells me to not do english till sunday. Uh. No. Because how the hell will i revise 15 poems and a small novel in like 9 hours for monday morning. I tell them. Then they start saying how its fine just memorise it, you can do it Sunday evening. NO I FUKCING CAN'T ITS A SMALL NOVEL AND 15 FUCKING POEMS (worlds and lives anthology aqa gcse literature if you're nosey). By now im like- what tf are they on.
They never understand how much stuff we actually have to revise. I bet they'll shit themselves if they see the poems i have to know. They're too egocentric.

@nonamegirly_1691 I have to memorise quotes and stuff to analyse in a test, and it'll be one poem at random, and then a poem of our choice. Like they give us a poem from the anthology at random. We don't know till we do the exam. And we have to compare it with quotes we have to remember from one other poem.
