I'm one of those writers with a day job, but I like mine. I also enjoy a great family life. I am married, have a four-year-old daughter, and a one-year-old son.
I find my writing time early in the morning when only the cats can interrupt me. The coffee pot takes about ten minutes to perk. That is just enough time to check my mail and skim the major headlines, then pour a cup of coffee and I write.
