The definition of poetry is 'literary work in which the expression of feelings and ideas is given intensity by the use of distinctive style and rhythm; poems collectively or as a genre of literature.' However, poetry for me is something a bit more, it's a form of escape from the real world where I can incorporate those feelings and ideas into my own piece of art. My work doesn't have a particular genre or field which I can tick a box for, so for me, you (the readers) can decide which box to metaphorically tick. I wanted to create this space to express myself in an undoubtedly different way to other teenagers of this modern day society.
