I am an 19-year-old writer, and like my protagonist, Arabella Everhart, I have lived through traumas including sexual assault and addiction. These experiences, though painful, have given me a deep understanding of grief, survival, and the complicated paths to healing. Writing has always been my dream, and after taking a year off before university, I committed myself fully to completing my first novel.

Through my work, I hope not only to tell an authentic story but also to reach young readers who feel isolated by their own struggles. My greatest ambition is to create books that remind people they are not alone, that even in the darkest moments, there can be connection, resilience, and hope. What We Became in the Dark is my debut novel, born out of both personal experience and a lifelong passion for storytelling.
