Tagalog is seriously messed up.

          Gulang - age
Gulangan - to take advantage of
Magulang - parent/one who takes advantage of

According to my dad, “gulangan” is “to take advantage of” because it’s generally an older person (one with more age/“gulang”) who takes advantage of a younger one. “Magulang”is therefore parent (one who has more age) but also one who takes advantage of (one who participates in “gulangan”/taking advantage of). Even knowing the etymology, that’s STILL seriously messed up.

And...I share homeroom with my friend!!!

Found some friends in the lunch line who are also LFE lovers and adore Mia with their whole hearts...if only I could remember their names and faces so I could invite them to lunch LOL--

Invited an acquaintance of mine (and her friends) who shares some of my classes to have lunch with my friend and me on Friday!!!

Hello, everyone, and welcome to another episode of Ellie’s Mom Gets Literature Wrong. She’s fallen into the trap of cold/deprived of warmth = cold/uncaring when that doesn’t fit! Do I show her my writing to change her mind?!

@_Gods_Child_ Okay! Haha, on the one hand, yes, share my writing and I have more people who agree with me. On the other hand, share my writing and I've just shared my writing with my mom--WHY do we internet writers share our work with strangers but not family?! xDDDDDDDDDD Then again, she's read my second character study, and showing her the first one might explain where my interest came from--
