lowkey just had the WORST class I’ve ever had in my entire life, we were talking about trans + queer rights and the whole class except for me and two of my friends said that trans and queer people don’t deserve rights and trans people should not be acknowledged as the gender that they identify as and we were trying to argue and they kept giving the WORST arguments I think someone has ever made in all of humanity and they refused to use the terms “LGBTQIA+” and “sexuality” and they kept saying that “god created two genders” like that’s called a sex and of course I’m nothing against god but using your religion to make false claims just isn’t right and if you can’t realize that, it seems like a you problem (I was actually shaking and overheating so bad because my classmates were being so homophobic for no reason and the teacher was doing her best to introduce us to this topic so I don’t blame her at all, my classmates are just stupid to realize that this is reality whether you like it or not)

also one of my classmates said “there is too much queer representation in media it’s like in our faces” and my friend says “well if you interact with queer media you would know there is a very minimal amount” (speaking facts here) and then she asked him if he actually interacts with any queer media to which he replied with no, so if you don’t interact with queer media maybe don’t say that there is too much since you literally don’t know anything

@MaknaeSlayedItFirst I did know that some of my classmates are very anti-queer and anti-trans people mainly because they are extremely religious and they believe that if you follow any religion ever you have to be extremely homophobic which literally makes no sense to me but I would have never expected this level of ignorance, lack of empathy, and not caring about basic human rights
