I was born in Pembrokeshire, West Wales, UK, and spent part of my childhood in Kenya. 



After writing several successful non-fiction books, I decided my real interest is in the history of the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries, and my Tudor Trilogy has become an international best-seller.



I have returned to Pembrokeshire, an area full of inspiration for my writing, where I lives with his wife. In my spare time I enjoy sailing and sea kayaking.
