trust  me,  wesker.  it  is.  ( the  box  was  placed  beside  the  other  two  promptly,  already  scanning  the  shelves  again  with  a  focus  often  observed  at  work.  if  his  boyfriend  wanted  efficiency  on  a  grocery  run,  chris  would  do  so  with  a  smile. )

⁽  the  shopping  cart  came  to  a  stop  as  he  wanted  chris  pluck  his  favorite,  and  only  flavor  in  his  opinion.  ⁾  hm.  alright  i  suppose  if  it's  a  tactical  variety  on  our  tactical  grocery  trip.

( he  stayed  seated,  looking  up  at  him  like  he  was  the  only  thing  in  the  room  that  mattered. )

⁽  sir.  that  title  held  a  since  of  respect.  a  sense  of  authority.  but  when  chris  said  it,  it  was  so  much  more   than  that.  a  sign  of  respect  but  also  it  stirred  something  up  within  him  that  he  couldn't  dive  into  right  now. ⁾  good.  im  glad  we  can  reach  a  level  of  understanding.  ⁽  instead  of  leaning  over  him  he  stood  up  straight,  smirking  faintly. ⁾

( at  the  closeness  his  heart  thudded, that  intense  gaze  making  it  impossible  to  look  anywhere  else.  he  nodded  quickly,  the  movement  small  with  wesker’s  hand  still  holding  his  face. ) …crystal  clear,  sir. ( the  smile  tugging  at  his  lips  gave  him  away—  he  was  already  thinking  about  that  reward,  and  he’d  do  anything  to  earn  it. )

im  flattered  dear.  believe  it  or  not  i  have  had  my  own  cooking.  but  im  so  glad  to  hear  you're  enjoying  it.  ⁽  now  he  was  standing  behind  him,  hands  finding  his  shoulders  as  he  rubbed  at  them, leaning  over  and  kissing  the  side  of  his  face. ⁾

            ( he  barely  paused  his  chewing  to  receive  the  kiss,  his  eyes  softening  immediately.  )  have  you  tried  this?  ( he  pointed  at  his  plate  with  the  fork,  completely  serious  as  if  it  wasn’t  wesker’s  cooking  he  was  talking  about. )  it’s—  like  ridiculously  good.

⁽  once  he  was  satisfied  with  the  state  of  the  kitchen  he  took  a  couple  steps  back  to  admire  it.  he  couldn't  leave  anything  messy,  cleanliness  was  very  important  to  him.  walking  past  chris  he  glanced  at  his  plate  and  kissed  the  top  of  his  head. ⁾

⁽  shamelessly  he  moved  closer  to  get  a  big  whiff.  it  did  smell  nice  it  was  definitely  different  but  it  suited  him.  in  fact  it  seems  someone  REALLY  liked  it  as  he  buried  his  face  into  him  and  deeply  inhaled. ⁾  yes..  it's  very  nice.  ⁽  it  seemed  his  previous  teasing  was  forgotten  about  right  now,  all  so  he  could  bask  in  his  scent. ⁾

( the  quiet  laugh  through  his  nose  was  barely  audible.  it  had  been  a  gift  claire  gave  him  last  time  she  visited  for  the  holidays,  with  the  intent  that  chris  wear  it  for  a  certain  person.  )  uh..  yeah.  just..  something  i  found  at  the  bottom  of  my  bag.  figured  i’d  try  not  to  smell  like  i  fought  a  bear  today.  ( he  shifted  slightly,  nudging  his  face  into  the  side  of  wesker’s  head.  notes  of  amber,  leather,  sandalwood,  tonka  bean,  and  vanilla. )  you  like  it?

⁽  he  would  surely  bite  even  harder  next  time.  there  was  absolutely  no  doubt  about  that.  but for  now  he  pressed  gently  kisses  to  it,  his  tongue  flicking  out  slightly  in  the  process. ⁾  you  smell  different..  are  you  wearing  something  new .ᐣ
