          "Lason at Ligaya is inspired by the song Ligaya by Eraserheads. I was humming that song in my head, tina-try kong alalahanin yung lyrics kasi gusto ko sanang i-download. But then, I remembered a certain scene in my head; about sa amin ni "ligaya", ayokong i-manifest 'yon kasi may bigat yung Lason at Ligaya. Doon ako nagkaroon ng "what if". What if mangyari sa amin 'yon? And parang ayoko... parang hindi ko kakayanin. Naalala ko, before ko ilatag sa utak ko lahat ng isusulat ko-tinitigan ko muna siya. Thus, Lason at Ligaya was born. Ang pinaka unang novelette ko na naisulat na one-sitting lang."

          "Pursuing perfection can kill productivity. We all want to give our best and put out the most polished version of our chapters as much as possible, but when we get too caught up on keeping things 'sparkly clean', we might lose valuable time that we could've used for writing more instead, especially if you're on your first draft.
          
          Quality is still over quantity, but unless your story is geared by the printing press already, accept that there will always be room for improvement and learn to not let your perfectionism hold you back."

          "This story is deeply sentimental to me-almost like a personal confession. I amplified every conflict, making it more painful and profound, to truly capture the depth of emotion. At its core, the story sheds light on the overlooked struggles of those battling suicidal thoughts.
          
          I also infused a glimpse of science fiction, not only to emphasize its fictional nature but also as a personal escape. It allows me to believe that perhaps there's a greater, unseen explanation for why people reach their lowest points. While the story remains grounded in real-life struggles, there's a certain comfort in imagining that it could be something more."
