"Cheshire's P.O.V
So many questions ran through my head as I pondered on my mate. I didn't know left from right or up from down I was that disoriented. I had found the woman I'd been searching for, for 4 years. I had actually touched and kissed my betrothed. My body was still tingling even after all this time had passed, I wonder if hers is too. Our bond is mutual so she must be thinking of me as I am of her. Or at least that's what I'm hoping.
It still baffles me as to why she wasn't as overcome with joy as I was. More importantly why did she run away from me. A wolf's bond is said to be of the strongest bonds and we instantly should have had a mutual connection, but she reacted completely different to it. Could it be that she...unless...
"She can reject you son," My dad said through the phone.
"What!?" I yell through the receiver. "She can't reject me I'm her mate," I had begged some passerby's for some loose change to use a pay phone to call my dad. If anyone knew anything at all about mating and bonding it was my dad. But now I'm not too sure I want his advice now.
"That still isn't grounds for her not to reject you," I heard my dad sigh. I bristled. Just the thought of that gorgeous specimen not wanting me made me want to tear something up. I'll be damned if I spent four years searching for her only to be turned around at the door.
"She's sadly mistaken if she thinks I'm just going to let her go like that. She's mine, rightfully given to me by law of nature so she has to accept that and me," I growled possessively.
"Whoa, easy there, you don't want to force your mate into something she doesn't want do you?" I could hear the smile in his voice. I hated that my dad found so much amusement in my times of distress.
"To hell with what she wants, I want her and god damn I'm going to have her," I seethed. Dad grunted.
