@TwentyeightReaders this is absolutely the most beautiful story i have ever read. the most beautiful piece of literature. at times, i think back on this fan fiction, and forget that it was just that. a fan fiction. i would give up my heart and soul for this to be published as a physical book. i loved absolutely everything about it. the melancholy especially. something about the gloom and loneliness made me feel at home, made me feel welcome in this tiny world captured in words. almost as if i belonged there. because of this, fair isle has made it to the top of my bucket list. the only problem is, if i ever visit it, i dont think i will ever be able to come back. and i guess everyone would feel the same after reading this. this fan fiction has made me want to move to scotland. i will always cherish it, and remember that it affected me and my life choices very deeply
