Propping his chin in his hand, he tilts his head with lazy, effortless confidence. ] " Get rid of you ? Nah. You’re way too much fun to get bored of.b" [ He briefly presses his tongue against the inside of his cheek, a knowing smirk on his lips before he continues in a smooth, husky drawl. ] " But let's be real, Winchester. Keeping people entertained is just a habit of mine. But actual answers ? Most people don't even get to ask the questions. You're in a very exclusive club right now. " [ He taps a finger against the counter, leaning back slightly with a small, easy shrug, though his dark gaze never wavers. ] " So stop stressing about when I'll lose interest, or whether I'm some monster waiting to eat you up... and just enjoy the fact that you've kept me curious. "
life was never all that easy, people weren't who they said they were. people would lie, purposely be deceitful. say one thing and do another and above all else when you turned around you'd be stabbed in the back. from a very young age he was taught this, not only were there monsters in the dark but there were monsters walking alongside you too. it made him less trusting. “ ive watched you. you run this act on everyone. you'll get bored and move onto the next. ” it was hard to ignore that glance down towards his lips and they would part just slightly. sam talented at reading through the lines however with him he threw him for a loop. “ if you keep looking at me like that you're gonna find out how hard it is to get rid of me. do you look at me like that because you think about eating me up? has the thought crossed your mind? ”

[ Jasper’s dimpled smirk widened, a soft chuckle escaping him. He briefly pressed his tongue against the inside of his cheek in pure, effortless amusement before his jaw relaxed. Slowly, the sharp, elongated points of his fangs retracted, softening back into harmless human teeth and leaving his smile looking deceptively innocent once more. ] " Is that what you think this is? Just an act ? Careful... honesty like that might make me want to keep you around longer. " [ He shifted forward, propping his chin in his hand as he leaned in closer. His eyes dropped to Sam's lips for a lingering second before locking back onto his gaze with a heavy, magnetic warmth. ] " I'm an open book, Winchester. You just have to know how to read between the lines. It's true, you don't know much about me. Most don't. But you have my undivided attention a very rare privilege. Ask me anything. " a laugh escaped his lips immediately and he tilted his head slightly at the other. it wasn't courage he didn't have a choice. they were the only family he had. even when their dad was alive he was barely around. the next sentence had his smile sort of twitching, it was painful on the nose. “ good look? i don't know about that. that heavy dark weather runs through my veins. there's no way out. ”

" [ He tilts his head back slowly, a faint, intrigued smile playing on his lips as he studies the other's expression without breaking eye contact. ] " The deceptive kind. The type that looks perfectly calm on the surface, but has an entire reservoir of heavy, dark weather brewing underneath. The kind that's constantly fighting to keep itself under control... It's a good look on you ."
“ survival medal? isn't that on par with a participation medal? no one likes a participation medal. ” a smile tugged at his lips, one dimple popping more than the other. “ a storm, huh? what kind of storm? ” his fingers tapped against his thigh.

[ the motion catches her off guard and she can’t help but let out a shy fit of laughter. as told, she spins, oblivious to anything else. ] you’re such a cornball! [ she exclaims, the same girlish smile never fading. it’s a different feeling—- and she doesn’t know what to do with it. ]
a laugh left him and he nudged her back, he reached over and he'd hold her hand up over her head. “ spin. i gotta see the whole thing before i can tell you it looks gorgeous on you. ”

“ everything matters to me when it's with you, julia. ” at her squeeze he offered one of his own. then another, and another. three in a row. his own form of communication when he lacked the words for it.

[ her gaze drifts down to their intertwined fingers and gives a small squeeze. it’s a form of communication—- one of her favorites. ]
his fingers curl into hers and he smiled, in that soft way that barely made those dimples of his pop. “ one at a time. wouldn't wanna turn too many pages and miss the highlights of it. ” his thumb rubbed in gentle circles into the side of her hand.

it definitely will be! we do it a few times in the summer. you should bring a friend, if you want. i still need to get with dean and callie to come too.
that actually sounded.. really nice. hazel eyes softened as the invitation was extended and he nodded. this was probably the most normal thing he'd been invited to in a very long time. “ i would love to. that sounds like it would be a lot of fun. ”
