An introvert is a person who needs alone time to recharge and regain our energy. There are more of us than you think, and not all of us are shy. We are misunderstood by many. You can usually find us reading books, spending time with our animal friends, listening to music, watching Netflix, drawing pictures, or pushing our shopping carts into the self-checkout lane.

The goal of #WeAreTheIntroverts is to educate people on how everyone doesn't want or need to socialize every waking hour to be happy (not that all extroverts are like that) and to celebrate introverted protagonists in the stories here on Wattpad.

Introversion is not a disease. There is nothing wrong with you for being an introvert, or an extrovert.

Introverts aren't necessarily arrogant, either. We just listen more than we speak and we can't help that small talk is excruciating for us. We're just wired differently than extroverts are.
