Dan has met many people in the police, military, and intelligence professions and has woven some of their war stories into his tales. He comes from a long line of law enforcement officers and has had unique experiences related to that, such as before high school; he survived multiple contracts by drug lords on his family, he was trained in officer survival, and was arrested more than thirty times in one day! He knew evasive driving techniques before he could legally drive, and trained adults in getting their firearms license to become armed guards with his uncle's security company while still in high school. He recently did contract work for a Forensic Biometric Identity company which was working on the FBI's Next Generation Identity System NGIS to replace AFIS. Other customers of the company were US Secret Service, CentCom, Defense Intelligence Agency, Homeland security, New Scotland Yard, and Interpol. He just finished working on the next book in the series GOLEM, which deals with the ideas behind the Book 'Blowing Up Russia' by the Russian defector famously poisoned in London with Polonium. It also touches on recent advances in brain research including memory erasure and the ability to control neural pathways via fibre optics.
