Dear Readers,
I know I've been quite inconsistent with my updates and also kind of disappeared. I've been caught up in my academics, offline writing projects, and life itself.
The lack of comments on my books has been a great demotivator. I've tried writing for the love of writing (trust me, I still do), and sometimes that isn't enough—you want the validation and also hear what your books are doing to readers. And seeing this and how the direction of my books—Vellichor and Shattered Reflections are going in, I've decided to pull them down. While part of the reason is the lack of response, but the larger reason is the themes and style of writing I want to explore in these books are not really "Wattpat-coded"—they aren't tropey, nor are they too fast paced; they are slow and almost literary over something raw, and I don't blame the audience here; you do you and read the books that make you feel good, however as an author and a writer, I do want to put these books out in the spaces where they are more likely to be recieved. I get the feedback and audience that these books are capable of pulling.
This step also means I'm not abandoning these works; they will simply move to platforms where I can write them with the most honesty and not flinch from exploring themes I'd have to think twice about on Wattpad. Shattered Reflections will move to AO3, and Vellichor is undecided, though I'll continue writing it behind the scenes and will update you on what I do when I decide.
With that said, I do plan on bringing two new books; both are romances—the first one will have themes of the elite world, marriage of convenience and an interracial couple, and the second one is a sapphic romance between two women with a friends-to-lovers trope and a slice of life element to it.
I am sorry for the inconbvinience caused for the readers and do hope you will continue to give the books the love you have always been giving
