i think many of you know what‘s currently happening in china. china has built nearly 400 ‘re-education‘ concentration camps in xinjiang region, with the construction on dozens continuing over the last years. and about 11 million uyghur muslims are held in those camps.
          
          since 2014 uyghur muslims have been captive in ‘re-education‘ concentration camps, where they‘re forced to eat pork, drink alcohol, marry and sleep with non-muslim chinese men, give up on their religion and beliefs and much more. while women get raped, their children get separated from their families with the intention that grow up not learning about Islam. 
          
          uyghur women have spoken out and said to be forcibly sterilized. the china scholar, adrian zenz, has also reported that uyghur muslim women are being fitted with contraceptive devices and if resistant, they are sent to the camps. 
          many uyghur muslims said they‘ve been detained, interrogated and beaten for their Islamic beliefs.
          
          it may be easy to feel helpless but our voices still matter. we can’t stay silent anymore. we need to raise our voices.
