it was almost midnight and sana decided to leave as they had school tomorrow. "don't forget to tell me how things go with mr jeno." she playfully winked while yuna tried to kick her out of the room, having enough of her teasing.
"alright alright be careful, goodnight." yuna quickly replied before locking the door and turning around to change into more comfortable clothes.
she did her night routine and got in bed, scrolling aimlessly through instagram because of her insomnia when a sudden name popped up in her mind.
jeno.
she debated whether to text him right now, not wanting to disturb his sleep incase he was asleep. "pfft he's probably awake right now plus he's the one who told you to text him so..."
she finally made a decision and texted him.

you: jeno? i'm sorry if i disturbed ur sleep or something but i just couldn't really sleep rn and thought of you.
unknown: hey- i'm sorry i really didn't expect u to text me rn lol not that i was sleeping but just surprised ha... and oh um yeah insomnia can be really bad i've been through that shit. maybe we can get to know each other until u feel sleepy ig?

jeno: alright so do u live here? cuz i've been living here for quite a while now
you: uh nope i just reached here yesterday, i got a scholarship so i'm studying here from now on ig
jeno: omg so this is ur first time here???
you: uh yeah lol it's still pretty confusing like canada is very different from seoul but luckily i'd always been good at english so i'll get used to everything soon
jeno: yk if u want i can show u around, the city and the university it's my first year in the campus but i know it well as my brother went to this same university
you: oh yes that'd be great!
jeno: alright i'll see u in the lobby tomorrow? the bus arrives pretty late so we'll have enough time to um talk ig?
you: uhh i'm not really sure if i'd be able to wake up early tho it's already about 1am rn-
jeno: oh yeah we should be asleep rn lol but if you're not sleepy yet i can stay awake i don't really have a problem
you: aw that's so sweet of u but ig there's no need im already sleepy enough rn lol

and she fell asleep with a smile on her face that night. nobody really stayed awake with her this late before which made her think of her insomnia as a burden, except that one person.
whom she hopes to get reunited with once again, if that's even possible.
