sorry for not updating yesterday i had a chem exam and i was stressed out:(
the next few days at school were the same, nothing special happened. the friend group grew more closer to yuna, especially jeno. he always accompanied her late at night and they'd text until she could fall asleep. they knew quite a lot about each other now, yuna found out that they both used to live in seoul before moving to canada and surprisingly, even the same town. maybe they went to the same school and that's why jeno looked so familiar to her but she still couldn't make out who was he.
"hey, how are you?" jeno suddenly came out of nowhere and stood in front of her. "oh my god you scared me-" she said putting down the book on the table quietly to maintain the silence of the library. "i'm fine, you?" yuna asked while he took a seat opposite of her. "what are you reading?" "oh, nothing much, remember the biology research we had? just looking for some information about that..." "ohh i see." "what about you? what are you doing here?" "i just wanted to ask if you're free tomorrow, it's the weekend and i thought maybe we could hang out?" jeno said, his tone a bit hesitant as he really didn't wanna be rejected this time.
"oh...yeah sure! so the cafe? what time?" "there's a really pretty cafe here, i'll pick you up at 4pm tomorrow alright?" "alright." she said with an assuring smile, indicating she was excited.
"where is everyone else?" yuna inquired, curious about where the others have been. "they're in the playground outside, probably playing something...you wanna come?" jeno asked, standing up to which she nodded and put the book in her bag.
"alright guys the goal of this round is not to let renjun win, i don't care if it's unfair." haechan said giving the cards out.
they were sat on the bright green grass which looked soft and comfortable as ever because of the rays of warm sunlight hitting it. jeno and yuna sat down beside each other, joining their circle.
"y-y'all wanna play t-too?" jisung shyly asked while counting his cards. "we'll join next round." yuna replied with a proud smile on her face. she was really happy that jisung was getting comfortable around them and began talking more.
"WHO ALLOWED HIM TO TAKE THE 4+ CARD AGAIN I'M GONNA FIGHT-" haechan yelled in annoyance but jaemin managed to calm him down.
yuna laughed and fell back on the grass. the round was probably gonna last long so she decided to admire the beauty of today which she had no idea about because of being stuck in the closed off dark library for hours.
the sky was pale blue with white clouds making various patterns and shapes. the birds on the trees beside them were singing beautiful melodies which put her heart and mind in peace and she closed her eyes, just feeling everything.
jeno noticed her laying down and decided to do the same. she noticed noises a few centimeters away from her and opened her eyes to see jeno, he gently raised her head and put his bag under it so she could be more comfortable, then laid back, putting his own arm under his head and closing his eyes, taking in the relaxing atmosphere.

"HE ASKED YOU OUT?" sana almost screamed. "yes, it's just a platonic hangout, what else?" yuna said while doing her homework. "aish you're so dumb, ITS A FUCKING DATE." sana said, who was previously watching a series on yuna's bed but paused it to take in the information when yuna was telling her about her day.
"no what the fuck it's not a date-" yuna said harshly turning around trying to sound serious but her cheeks turned red thinking of it as a date, and like come on, when did ever yuna succeed in sounding serious?
"we all know you like him, your tomato face says it all honey." "no i-i don't." she said going back to her homework.
"bUTIMSONERVOUSITSMYFIRSTTIMEHANGINGOUTWITHHIMALONEPLEASEHELPMECHOOSEANOUTFITIDONTWANNALOOKLIKEACLOWNINFRONTOFHIM." she quickly blurt out facing sana.
"that's my girl, now let me see..." sana said, proudly looking through yuna's closet for an outfit. "what about this?" "no no that's way out of my comfort zone-" "um this?" "ok so i think i should leave now, looking at the amount of homework you have, i probably have more than that and i should start doing it soon." sana said picking up her belongings.
"oh- already? ok fine." they hugged and walked towards the door. "goodluck on the date though...you better update me on it tomorrow." sana said with a teasing smile before disappearing into the hallways.
"why am i so nervous ugh it's just. a. hangout." yuna repeated in her mind before going back to her homework.
