Family drama

"Seriously dad? you hid our uncle from us?" Josie stormed into Alaric's office.

"No jo, I kept you away from him" Alaric sighs as he grabbed a pen and wrote in a book

Josie grabs the book

"Why? Is he dangerous? Noone can be as dangerous as hope's dad" Josie raises her eyebrows

"Look josie, I'll tell you about it later but for now I have business to attend to." Alaric grabs the book and motions for jose to leave

She walks out and Alaric sits down again. Josie walks to the lounge.

"Wow. This is the 2nd time I've seen you by yourself" Jade walks into the lounge

"Leave me alone jade." Josie scoffs

"No. Last time you used your dumb magic but now I'm not going to let you get that chance" Jade's fangs come out.

Before she can say anything else, a man walks in and shoos her away.

"Now I'm not really good with names but are you lizzie?" The man asks.

"Josie.. saltzman and your Uncle kai?" Josie corrects him and crosses her arms

"Yep." Kai nods.

"So your the guy who killed our mom?" Josie looks at him with an angry look.

"I had a reason" Kai puts his hands up making it look like he was innocent.

"Whatever it was, is no real reason to kill your sister" Josie scoffs.

"Your right but your wrong" Kai grabs a small sword on the table.

"If you had to kill your sister, you would I bet" He swings the knife around.

"I would never. I'm not a monster like you" Josie snarls

"Bad news. There's something called the merge where one of you takes the others' powers" Kai points the knife at josie.

"I heard about it..we're going to find a way to stop it" Josie leans against the couch.

"Wow" Kai laughs and puts the knife in his pocket.

"What's funny?" Josie asks

"There's no real way to stop it. Its a tradition ya know" Kai shakes his head, still laughing

"Well its not 2010 anymore. We can find a way" Josie takes out a piece of paper

"Good luck on that. Also tell your mom I said hello" He said before walking out

Josie opens the piece of paper and reads it. "The only way to stop the merge is to syphon one of the two twins' magic forever". The paper said. Josie folds it and puts it in her pocket then walks to her room.

With Hope and Lizzie

"I don't understand. If there's no real way to stop the merge, then why is my dad trying to avoid talking about it?" Lizzie laces back and forth while hope reads a book.

"Because he's trying to figure it out himself without you two worrying about it." Hope turns the page

"Okay but shouldn't he tell us if he found a way to stop it? Since we are the ones participating, we should be able to know" Lizzie crosses her arms and thinks

"It doesn't matter to be honest. We aren't even sure that there's an actual way to stop it. That's why your dad is so busy" Hope puts the book down and takes out her phone
