"episode six - holding on"
TODAY WAS A VERY BIG DAY FOR TYLER. His mother was able to visit him due to her departure from the hospital.
With a little help from Rick, he picked out his best clothes and neatly did his hair as he wanted to make the best impression as possible.
Rick and I leave Tyler and go into the back garden with everyone else, quickly joining in with their football game.
"Uh guys" We hear a voice behind us and we all turn to see Tyler "This is my mum" he points the the tall woman next to him and we give her a friendly smile.
"Hello mum" Johnny calls back waving.
"Tyler talked about you all in his emails" She informs us "Pink and fluffy, you must be Carmen" She observes.
"Pink and fluffy?" Carmen raises her eyebrows and Tyler smirks.
"Wannabe rockstar?" She points at Rick who has his arm around my waist "I know a brooding face when i see one"
"Wannabe? really?" Rick replies with slight annoyance.
She looks over to me "Pretty blond hair and close to Rick, you must be Madeline, the girl who won't stop being arrested"
I scoff slightly "Glad to hear Tyler's given me such and nice impression"
"I'm Johnny"
She looks over at him next "Johnny? You're nothing like Tyler described"
"What did Tyler say?" Johnny says suddenly really interested.
"Um" Tyler quickly interrupts "That's enough introductions for today. Do you want to go back inside" He asks his mother.
She doesn't move "How about a game of something?"
"Oh! We've got a rounders bat in the shed" Bailey stands with excitement.
A smile creeps onto Tyler's mums face "Well what are we waiting for then?"
We all go our separate ways to help set up and grab equipment for the game. Rounders is my favourite sport and the one I find myself to be the best at.
"I want Maddie on my team!" Bailey immediately shouts as we sort ourselves into teams.
After choosing teams we began to play rounders with Tyler's mother. Ricks team bats first and he hits the ball far. Knowing that he's going to get a full rounder i run towards the end and block his route. I know it's against the rules but it's funny anyway.
He smirks as he sprints at me and opens his arms to pick me up and drag me with him the rest of the way. "That was a bit of a pathetic attempt" He laughs playfully as he scores.
