“Hello” Dira answered into her phone pulling up into the parking lot of the club.
“Where you at?” Vic shouted into the phone over the music playing in the background.
“Trying to find a parking spot, I should be inside in a minute.” said lowly not in the mood to raise her voice.
“Okay cool!” he screamed back before hanging up.
“They look like they are about to leave.” Teresa said pointing towards a car with some ratchet looking girls getting inside a white Toyota Camry. “Are you okay girl? Your vibe been weird since you left my house.”
“Girl, I’m fine. I just haven’t been out in a while you know.” Dira attempted to lie while pulling up into the parking spot as the car pulled off. Her response made Teresa smack her lips and roll her eyes.
“Dira who do you think you fooling? Girl I’ve known you for years. Just because I left for a for a little while does not mean I know you any less than I did before. So you going to tell me what’s wrong or we will sit in this parking lot all night.” She said turning her back towards the door so she was facing Dira all the way.
“Stay in the parking lot all night then. I’ll see you later.” Dira said turning off the car, grabbing her clutch and phone heading out the wagon making Teresa follow behind her.
“They better be handing out money tonight.” she said noticing the long line formed outside the door of the club. As the girls approach the back of the line one of the bouncers walked up to them “Good evening, are you Dira?” he said pointing to her.
“Depends on who’s asking.” Dira answered with a little attitude. “You are requested inside to the VIP.” The guard said pointing towards the front of the line.
Dira knew it was Vic that requested her to the VIP. She knew he told her that she needed friends but she wasn’t too sure how he would feel knowing that the only friend she had turn out to be his baby mother. She also didn’t know how Teresa would feel about her working with her baby father and notice how attracted to him she was becoming.
“Thank you but I can’t leave my friend I’ll wait with her.” She said grabbing Teresa’s arm making him shrug and walk off. “Why didn’t you go? I would have met you inside.” Teresa said slightly shoving her.
“It’s cool, because I know if it were you, you was going to stay with me. Besides the line is moving fast anyway.” She said as they shuffled up in the line.
“Girl, you thought I was going to stay with you? You crazy as hell. You must have forgot how I get down.” Teresa laughed doing a little twerk. “Shit, aint no promise I’m going to stay with you when we get inside the door. You know I barely go out now, so now when I do I enjoy myself like this is my last time.”
“I feel you.” Dira laughed. “Well do you think it is too late to go now?” she asked her.
“You not going to find out still standing here dumb-dumb.” Teresa teased her.
Dira strutted out of the line and headed towards the door ignoring all the people cursing and throwing comments at her for skipping the line. “I changed my mind she’ll be fine.” She said toward the bouncer who walked up to her before.
“Right this way” he escorted inside of the club. Dira walked in behind the bouncer and was overwhelmed about the huge crowd in there. The club blasted Wishy Washy by Migos as she approached the VIP.
“Thank you.” She mouthed to the guy before he walked off and she walked inside. There was a few people in there she didn’t recognize and Vic occupied by a stripper. She didn’t want to interrupt his session so she took a seat next to him which actually caught his attention.
