Later that night after getting my hair and nails done and all my shopping was completed I was exhausted.
Quan gave me a room that basically looked like a master bedroom. I had my own bathroom, a walk in closet and a balcony. It was way more beautiful than my loft. While I laid down in the bed watching my 62" inch flat screen TV. I heard a soft knock at the door, which I knew was Abby.
"Come in!" I shouted so she can hear me.
"Dena" she said as she walked into the room.
"Yes Abby." I said sitting up before helping her up on the bed with me.
"I'm sad and I'm happy." She said as she pouted.
"Why what happen? You can talk to me." She looked at the door then back at me indicting what she say must be confidential so I got up and closed the door.
"Okay you can talk now no one can hear." I said as I grabbed her hand.
"I'm sad because every time my daddy brings me a new friend they die but I'm happy because you get to spend the night and we can play dress up."
I was startled at what she said I put my hand over my mouth in shock.
"Well why do you think they die?" I stupidly ask knowing damn well this little girl don't even know the answer to that.
"I think because I'm bad luck!" She said before she burst into tears.
"Shh, don't cry!" I said as I held her and thought of what she just told me.
"Abigail!" Marisol said busting into my room. I knew she didn't like me the minute she laid eyes on me. But I could care less what the MAID of all people thought.
"Why ju cry?" She asked her while she pick her up and exit the room.
I rolled my eyes and laid back down and started scrolling through the channels when I heard ringing.
I didn't know exactly what it was but I paid it no attention hoping it would just go away. Eventually it did, then seconds later it started again.
I looked around the room seeing where it can possible come from then I noticed it was coming out my purse. I looked in my purse and I realized it was the metro ringing. When I retrieved the phone it then stopped ringing. Just when I went to rest it back inside it started again.
"Hello?" I answered into the phone.
"Um hey Celinda, are you going to be working tonight? I want to make an appointment for me and my friend Yaz. Ty wasn't answering his phone so I thought I'd call you directly."
"Appointment? Appointment for what?" I asked hoping to fish out information of what Ty would have had me doing.
"You know we don't really discuss information over-"
"Appointment for what!" I cut him off.
"Is this Celinda?" He asked.
I quickly hung up the phone thinking maybe he was on to me.
"Celinda?" I said to myself out loud. Out of all the names he had for me he gave me the name Celinda. I scoffed and threw the phone back in my purse.
Minutes later the room phone started ringing. It was like a hotel they had a phone in every room so you can call a certain room directly. That's how big the house was.
"Yes?" I answered into the phone.
"Someone is coming up to get you ready in 5." Quan said into the phone.
