Sports Festival Pt.2

Ayanokouji's POV

A few days have passed. The day has come for me to face Nagumo. I was getting excited, I was waiting for this day.

I prepared my stuff and went to school. Our classmates were already here. They seem nervous. I approached Horikita.

"Get everyone to calm down and relax."

"Huh? They are relaxed"

"You can't seem to read the atmosphere, look at them"

"Hmm, I guess you're right"

Horikita called out everyone to listen.

"Everyone please calm down"

Everyone was in deep silence

"Hey, Ayanokouji-kun was that ok?"

"Not like that, give a motivational speech or something"

"Fine"

Horikita gave them motivation and then they started to calm down. Now that the problem is resolved.

Time Skip
The Beginning

We went to the gymnasium for the opening. Nagumo said a few words and then the sports festival has began.

The fist event was basketball. And I just told Horikita that I will join every event. I was one of the first five, our opponent was class 2A. After the long match. It has been decided, we won.

Other matches ended.On the quarter finals, our next opponent was class 1C. And again we won. On the semi finals we fought against class 2B We had a hard time but we won.

And on the finals, we fought class 3A. We were on the lead at first but we got overtaken. In the end we lost.

The ranking in basketball were:
1st Class 3A
2nd Class 2D
3rd Class 2B
4th Class 1C

Next event was Chess. My first opponent was none other than Sakayanagi.

"What a coincidence Ayanokouji-kun"

"Yeah I guess"

"Let us have a good match today"

And the long chess match ended with me winning

"You're really good at chess Ayanokouji-kun"

"I'm just average"

And then my next match was with Kanzaki.

"I'll defeat you today, Ayanokouji"

"I'll look forward to that"

We started our match but he was no match for me. Of course he is not as good as Sakayanagi or Horikita.

"Tsk"

Kanzaki was pissed due to his loss

And the last match for chess, the finals. My opponent was Nagumo.

"At last, I won't go easy on you Ayanokouji-kun"

"Yeah, me too"

Every student was cheer for Nagumo, except of course for our class.

It was a long long match, but Nagumo was on the brink of giving up. And then I made deciding move.

'Nagumo was defeated?' Im sure that's what they're thinking right now. But it's pretty obvious because Nagumo was just a newbie in chess.

"I'll wait for you at the Relay Race Ayanokouji-kun"

I stayed silent. And then walked away.

Next was Swimming the Swimming Relay race. We won on swimming relay, but we lost on swimming.

In the 5km race I went up against Koenji in the finals. He was in the lead in the first few minutes. But I went serious and overtook him. In the end I won

The last activity was 5km Relay Race. I was the anchor. I going up against Nagumo and other students.

"I'll beat you this time for sure Ayanokouji-kun"

"Yeah sure"

In the first 4 runners we were in last place until the baton was passed on to me. I gave Nagumo a headstart. And the I ran at full speed. I easily overtook the other students.
And now Nagumo was in front of me. I ran seriously and as fast as I can. Nagumo was shocked that I passed him. And the race ended.

"Looks like you still have a long way, Nagumo-senpai"

"Don't get cocky, Ayanokouji-kun. I'll beat you next time"

"I'm sorry Nagumo-senpai, but there won't be a next time"

"What are you talking about?"

"You'll eventually find out soon"

Time Skip
2nd Day

Next was Swimming the Swimming Relay race. We won on swimming relay, but we lost on swimming.

In the 5km race I went up against Koenji in the finals. He was in the lead in the first few minutes. But I went serious and overtook him. In the end I won

The sports festival ended in two days. I was awarded as the student with most  wins and was given 2 million private points.

The overall ranking was displayed on the screen.

We came in second place. The class who came in first place was Class A. Third place was Class B and in last was Class C.

*Note: Class A (3rd years, 2nd years and 1st years) was ranked as a one. same goes for the other classes

"Ayanokouji, so you were hiding your talents after all"

"Well not that I'm hiding it, I just...Yeah I was hiding it"

"That's not important, what's important is we weren't in last place like last year"

"Yeah, we need to celebrate"

"Yes, we should but please lets not do it in my room"

After the Sports festival we went to Keyaki Mall to celebrate our victory. It was a tiring day for them. Well for me, not so cause I'm not a normal highschool student.

Now that my fight with Nagumo ended, Its time to plan on how to eliminate Tsukishiro.
