Hope didn't get much sleep. All she did was overthink about meeting that Hoseok guy again. Should I just call the cops? She thought of that a thousand times this day, but to think of it he never really harmed her (except for the perverted antics and thieving). He even bought her ice cream!
But no, an ice cream won't justify her rage towards him. That cunning asshole. Hope is betting that Hoseok lured her mom to say that she's inviting him for dinner tonight. That's the first thing she recognized in him.
His caginess.
And he should not step foot in their home.
=====
"Welcome, come in!" Hope's mother opened the door widely for Hoseok who brought a whole basket of goodies for them.
Just because of groceries, they let this stranger loose in their home. Hope stands in a corner with a dull face. Everything that she practiced for this moment got thrown in the trash. Again, all because of her mother's vulnerability against free groceries.
"It's so nice of you to bring some goods," her mother is all cheeky.
"It's nicer of you to invite me for dinner. This was totally unexpected," Hoseok giggled— lovingly.
"Yes, considering what I've told you about him, Mom!" secretly, Hope clenched her fists behind her back.
"Come in, come in," Her mother gestured for Hoseok to come inside and the guy didn't even hesitate.
"MOM!" Hope bellowed but she got ignored again.
"Don't mind her, she's on her period," Hope's mother discreetly whispered to Hoseok and he laughed silently.
Hope stomped her way into the dining room and sat across her unwanted guest's place. Looks like she's going to spend the entire night frowning in front of the food. Once everyone is at their place, they all started to dig in as well.
Her father is oddly silent and she's thankful for it. She's already dealing with her mother who's on full chatter mode in front of Hoseok. "The food is amazing, Mrs. Villan," he complimented.
In silence, Hope huffed under her breath upon hearing his voice. "How did you know our surname?"
Hoseok chuckled a little before saying, "You showed me your I.D., don't you remember?"
"Of course, I do not! That never happened!"
Hope was sure of that. Hoseok either stalked him and searched for details from the world wide web or he meddled with her purse back then and checked her I.D.
"Hope, your voice," her father's tone was intimidating. For a second there, she completely forgot that her father hates mannerless gestures in front of the food.
"Sorry," she almost said in a whisper. "Mom, you believe him?" she then turned to her mother.
"Hoseok, can I ask you a favor?"
