Itching on her spot, Hope continuously cursed Hoseok inside her head as she struggled to enter the address he sent her. To be sure that it wasn't some dangerous place, she searched for it on the internet and it wasn't some secret villain lair. In fact, it's just a simple house on the photo online. But when she arrived, it's packed with people and there are blinding lights everywhere coming from hug spotlights. Thankfully, she always brings her glasses with her.
Hope was about to fish for her phone and tell Hoseok that she's leaving. While she's trying to find the right words on her keyboard, "Excuse me?" a voice spoke.
She turned around and faced an unfamiliar man. "May I help you?"
"Oh, nothing. You look like you're looking for someone," behind the shade of her glasses she saw how he found your appearance odd. Who wouldn't? A girl lost in front of a huge ass house with plenty of people getting drunk and she's wearing a mask and sunglasses in the middle of the dark. In Hope's head, she's wishing he thinks of him like a lady spy.
"Actually, I do," she mumbled. "Do you know a guy named Hoseok?"
"He's a friend. How do you know each other? Is he also hitting on you?" Slightly bothered by his choice of words, she laughed nervously.
"More like pestering," she whispered to herself. "You think you can tell him I'm here? I need to talk to him."
"How about I'll take you to him?" he offered politely. The idea of entering a den of rabid lions and a river of alcohol terrifies her but Hoseok clearly stated that she should come inside.
"Sounds great," she lied.
Hope tailed behind his back as they both squished their way to where the devil is currently at. "I'm Jimin, by the way, sorry for not introducing earlier," he said to her when they finally reached a less crowded area.
"It's okay," she smiled timidly. "You can call me Hope."
"Okay, Hope, just a friendly advice, Hoseok is my friend but don't get too involved with him," he warned and Hope fell curious to his statement.
"Why? Because he's bad news?" she half-assumed, she already knows that he is every type of something bad.
"He's not really great with girls," he started. "That's all I could say. Anyway, that's him," Jimin pointed at a direction where a beer pong is being held. Just like what he said, Hoseok is standing there, excessively participative in the game.
Slowly, the two of them stood behind the people, waiting for the round to finish. It took a couple of minutes before they heard a couple of applauses for Hoseok's victory. When he turned around and saw his friend and Hope, he smirked.
"You actually came," he breathed.
"You said you called me for something important," Hope hissed. Jimin, on the other hand, felt the tension between the two and left them on his own accord by giving the I'm-getting-a-drink excuse. "I have pending commissions. Now, if you may speak what you need of me would be a great help," she tried hard to feign her anger.
